dye lot disgrace

i made the big mistake of thinking i could knit a sweater by purchasing yarn as i progressed. here are the results: not only was the color different between the two dye lots, but i also noticed the yarn seemed less dense on the top half. this was especially noticeable when i held this– well, what should i call it– huge swatch– up to the light and noticed a lot more light coming through the fabric on the top portion.

i knit this cushion a bit smaller and a couple inches thinner than the pattern suggested, so it would fit on my office chair at work. it was a really fun and fast knit that helped get rid of some oddball skeins laying around in my stash.
